World of SAP BI/BO

In BW, InfoArea are the branches and nodes of a tree structure. InfoProviders are listed under the branches and nodes. The relationship of InfoArea to InfoProviders in BW is similar to the relationship of directories to files in an operation system.

Step 1: After logging in to BW system, run transaction RSA1.

Step 2: In the new window, click InfoProvider tab under Modeling in the left panel. In the right panel, right click on InfoProvider and select Create InfoArea.

Step 3: Enter a name and a description for the InfoArea, and then click to continue.
